The Invitation

You don't need another thing to figure out.

Meditation isn't about creating a perfectly quiet mind. It's learning to be present with your mind, your emotions, and your experience — without immediately needing to change it.

Together, we'll create a meditation practice that meets your life as it actually is.

Who This Is For

When you're ready to go a little deeper.

01

You want to begin.

You've been curious about meditation but haven't found a way into a consistent practice.

02

You want to deepen.

You already meditate and want guidance understanding your experience and working with what arises.

03

You want consistency.

You know meditation helps, but life keeps getting in the way. You want a practice you can actually return to.

04

You want to live the practice.

You want meditation to become something you carry into ordinary moments — not something that only happens on a cushion.

The Four Weeks

A practice built around where you are.

Each week builds gently on the one before it, giving you space to practice, ask questions, and discover what works for you.

Week One

Establish Your Practice

Finding your foundation

We'll create a realistic meditation rhythm and explore the foundations that will support your practice beyond our time together.

Week Two

Working With the Mind

Learning to notice

You'll learn to recognize thoughts, reactions, and distractions without needing to fight them or follow them.

Week Three

Deepening Awareness

Becoming more present

We'll explore what happens as awareness becomes less about controlling experience and more about meeting it clearly.

Week Four

Bringing Practice Into Life

Living the practice

Meditation doesn't end when the timer rings. We'll explore how awareness can accompany ordinary moments, relationships, emotions, decisions, and work.

The Way I Teach

Come as you are.
Practice from there.

My teaching is inspired by Buddhist teachings and meditation practice, while keeping the experience accessible for modern life.

The goal isn't to create a perfectly quiet mind. It's to become more present to the life you're already living.

Private & Personal

Four weeks of personal guidance.

This is intentionally intimate. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all program, we'll work with your meditation experience, your questions, and your practice. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of meditation and a personal practice you can continue to develop on your own.

Your Guide

I didn't find meditation by having it all figured out.

I'm Susan, a meditation teacher and mindfulness facilitator. I created Meditation Explained because I believe meditation should feel accessible — not intimidating, complicated, or reserved for people who already know how to sit still.

My own journey brought me to meditation after years of searching for peace through personal development, relationships, healing, and trying to become enough.

Meditation changed how I met my own mind and my own life. It gave me another way.

Begin Here

Let's see if we're a good fit.

I keep this mentorship intentionally limited so there is room for personal attention, conversation, and practice. Tell me a little about where you are and what you're looking for.

Begin Where You Are

You don't have to know exactly where you're going.
You just have to begin.

Your meditation practice doesn't need to be perfect. It doesn't need to look like anyone else's. It simply needs to become something you can return to.
